Message from the Director
I would like to begin my final message as the Director by expressing my sincerest gratitude to the members of our learning community who have made my time with UCA and the UCA Learning Community such an incredible experience. The past eight years have been truly life-changing for myself and my family. Thank you to every single member of the UCA instructional staff, administration and staff for the monumental job they did to make this year, and every other year, such a resounding success. As has been previously announced I will continue to support UCA and Esol’s work in Lebanon as the Advisor the Board. I am excited to continue to be connected to UCA and look forward to what UCA will continue to accomplish moving forward.
UCA is an idea, a collective belief in the potential of our students that is lived out by every single member of the UCA team, every single day. The dedication and commitment exhibited by our team members is like nothing I have experienced over a lifetime being in education. UCA continues to provide a high challenge, high support, caring environment where students are the focus and their achievement is the goal.
The idea of UCA began with Mr. Walid Abushakra and his dream to provide the students of Mount Lebanon access to a world-class education. His dream was realized under the leadership of our founding director Mr. Walter Day. I am confident the UCA team, under the direction of Mrs. Rola Malaeb and with the full support of the Esol board, will continue to live out this idea for generations to come. I wish you all a safe, healthy and happy summer. God bless you all and God bless Lebanon!
