Dear UCA Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy. The current economic reality of Lebanon has required us to make very difficult decisions the past two years. Although difficult to make, we take these decisions with a commitment to ensure the quality and character of a UCA education is not compromised. Please rest assured we are committed to continue to do our utmost to serve our students and our learning community to the best of our ability.
Since 2019, we have been mindful of limiting the financial burden on our parents in order to keep the school open and ensure the quality of instruction does not suffer. While other schools have made significant raises in their tuition, UCA has taken considerable losses over the past two years. We have tried our best to be fair to parents while taking into consideration, and calculating, the expenses the school absolutely needs to function and maintain our standards. The tuition increase for the 2022-2023 school year reflects our consideration of the current financial crisis and its impact on many of our families.
As the situation in Lebanon continues to decline, we must partner together to provide our students the best learning environment possible. As you are well aware, fuel prices are rising and must be paid in fresh dollars. We have carefully studied the amounts necessary for operational expenses, the dollarization of the economy and inflation over the past several months. As costs become more certain, we have set the Operations Fee for the 2022-2023 school year. The Operations Fees will be as follows:
- $300.00 USD per student
- Paid in cash to the Business Office in two installments.
- First payment of $150.00 is due September 1st.
- Second payment of $150.00 is due January 16th.
Please note any amount paid will not be refunded. Please also note should it be determined necessary, operations fees may need to be adjusted based upon currency fluctuations and global fuel costs.
UCA thanks you for your cooperation. I am confident our continued partnership will contribute to the success of our school moving forward. Please do not hesitate to contact the UCA Administration if you have any questions regarding the content of this message.
Sincerely,
Gerald Redd
UCA Director
